It was my first time coming in. They were so kind. The Food was above and beyond delicious. I definitely recommend anyone driving by definitely check them out when you got the time, definitely worth it. The Best part everything was so affordable. N big portions
Oh my goodness! This place is delicious!!! Love the vegan options! The service was amazing! had to wait about 20 mins for my food, but I didn’t mind because my food was so fresh and fire! Will be going back before I go back home to Vegas!

One word - AMAZING. Everything about this wonderful tiny gem in Phoenix is 100% perfect. The owner and his family are so very kind, with an energy and vibration that really evokes care and love for everyone and the food they provide. Starting with the cabbage as a side, absolutely the best out there. Slightly tender, spiced just right and melt in your mouth with a little chew. The shrimp are plump, fresh and also spiced just right. Cannot wait to come back and try the chicken and the tofu (which are NOT breaded, thankfully). Absolute diamond in the rough of Phoenix and worth a visit to this perfect place.
5 stars! Our first time stopping in and we are so happy we did. We tried the tri plate with curry, bbq & jerk chicken. the curry goat w/ potato and a side of Johnny cakes. Everything was so delicious and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be going back. Side note: if you are short on time call your order in ahead. There are tables in a shaded area, no indoor dining.
I just wanna say I’ve been coming here for a little over a year now I have seen a lot of growth in this business, they have never cease to amaze me. Food is always quality. Price is FAIR you get what you pay for. I see that some complaints about size that’s ridiculous order the large. I’ll always come back this is my dedicated restaurant. Thank you all for your effort and endless work!
We had the curry goat with rice and peas, jerk chicken with yellow rice, plantains, guava limeade and mango limeade. Truly all 10/10 delicious - the chicken was fall off the bone tender, the curry was so flavorful, and the cabbage was perfect. We were obsessed with the plantains because they were the perfect combo of crispy on the outside and custardy on the inside and I would get a large next time because they’re just so good. We both had leftovers and with all the really serious ingredients and time put into making these dishes magic I think it’s priced really fairly. I hope they get their flowers and I can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!
Five Stars – A Must-Try! I’ve been enjoying Desert Island Eatery for months, and I keep coming back for one reason: the jerk chicken meal. The flavors are incredible—the chicken has just the right amount of spice to make it unforgettable. The rice and cabbage are the perfect sides, and the sweet plantains round it all out beautifully. Every meal is perfect every time. Beyond the food, the owner and his family are truly wonderful people. Their warmth and hospitality make every visit special. I just finished another amazing meal and, even though I’m stuffed, I’m already looking forward to the next time. Can’t recommend this place enough!
